Awestruck, Wide-eyed and Stunned. These are the words that accurately describe the exact way I felt as I reminisce about the first time I laid my eyes on you, in the easter of 2012.

A reeking of feminine beauty and a masterpiece of the female gender, I was 💯 captivated by your elegance. Never in my teenage life had I imagined someone could be so young my age and damn outright gorgeous. I immediately wished I could talk to you, I wished for you to know me, and perhaps be my friend.😉

Like they say..."be careful what you wish for"....well I was careful for nothing, the only thing I knew was that I hadn't been this spell-bound in a long time and I needed to do something about it.

Wishes do come true, and luckily mine didn't have to take long, in about 30mins this beautiful woman was fast approaching, coming straight towards me. Wait...."Jesus Christ....she's not only beautiful, she's fearless too". 😱😱😱

Before I could figure out the first step to take, she was already right in front of me. Dazed and confused, I opened my mouth to say "hello", and nothing came out...wait, what's happening to my legs? I can't seem to stand straight either. With my mouth opened and my knees turned jelly, the only thing I could think of was "Jesus....take the wheels". The singular explanation I have for not losing my balance and falling must have been the cold camp eba I ate the previous night. 😂😂😂

I can't remember how exactly I managed to finally say something, but for me to later request for a hug, your confidence must have robbed off on me in the few minutes we spent together. Good heavens you chose to shake my hands rather than hug me that very night, perhaps I would have limped back to the hostel.

Fast-forward nine years after and this woman is the love of my life - my everything 🌹. I almost can't think of my life now without you being in it and judging from the past few years, my life has been so much better now that you're in it.

I didn't think you could put up with me for even a month, since I met you, my life has taken a turn for the better. You have helped me laugh off the little things that used to stress me out, taught me the value of communication and spending more time with the people I love. You're constantly urging me to pray and reminding me of the essence of putting God first in everything I do.

When I say you're the best thing that has happened to me, I don't say it to get into your head, I say it because after taking an audit of everything, there's a sharp contrast to how my life has been both on the inside and on the outside since I met you compared to the previous years and I can genuinely attribute a huge part of that change to loving you and you choosing to accept me.

The moment I saw you for the very first time will be stuck into my memory till the end of the days because it was the evening when the course of my life radically changed its direction. I remember stealing one more look at you as you turned to go to your hostel, you caught me and your smiling eyes kept me company for the whole night.

You encourage me to get up every morning, to do great things, and to constantly become better. You are my inspiration, my motivation, and my desirous goal. We both want to have a colorful and memorable career and life, and together we can make our dreams come true.

I love and respect your wittiness, your tenderness, and your beautiful complex mind. You are the most special person in my life and I could never imagine going through all of this with someone else.

Your thought process is awesome. You have a beautiful way of seeing things. You see the good even in the most horrible of situation. You are a beautiful person inside out.

You have taught me one of the most important principle of life, that everyone deserves to be treated with respect because we never know where the future leads and where we could meet. ( I remember listening in on your conversation with the security men at work when you went to drop something for your colleague the other Sunday. I totally loved the way you interacted with them and treated them ).

I've learned a lot from your patience and kindness to others, your sense of adventure, the value you place on having good relationships with family, it makes me want to try harder to be that way myself.

You're a strong person in mind, body and spirit. Your strength and endurance spill to others. You radiate positively. You give me strength and you make me feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. You make me feel loved, appreciated, and blessed. Thank you for all of that!

I cannot hide my smiles, even when we are apart. The love we share makes my life beautiful, I can’t imagine my life without you in it. Our lives together is a beautiful story in progress, there are many chapters yet unwritten - let’s continue writing this amazing story together.

We both love to live a life of impact, be better versions of ourselves and dream of making our families proud, and together we can. Life is not an easy venture, but with each other, I feel we can take on any challenge and we can handle all situations. My heart is tied to yours and we're not doing this without each other.

I remember when I asked you to be my girlfriend and I waited anxiously for your reply, that period was the most attentive I've been all my life. The very moment you said "thank you for choosing me...and yes, I'll be your girlfriend" my heart whispered, 'That’s the one'. Since then, I haven't looked further. If I could turn back the clock, I’d have asked you to be my girlfriend a lot earlier.

I am looking forward to the day when I'll physically see your big head 😂 and incredible smile again, and our love will give birth to something new 🥰😍. I love the feeling I get when I see your smile. Every time I see you I fall in love all over again. I just can’t get you off my mind and why would I even try? 🤷🏾‍♂️

You have a place in my heart no one else could ever have, you make me happy in a way no one else can. I love you and that’s the beginning and the end of everything. In case you ever forget, I am never not thinking of you. I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, and all you are yet to be. I love you more than I have ever found a way to say it to you.

I've literally run out of words to say, I might as well stop here so I can remain some for when it's our 1st year anniversary.

This was supposed to be a birthday heartily message but I honestly did not know how I drifted to writing something else. I guess I got too excited and chose to tell the whole world about my love for you.
